Our History
MADATAC (Contemporary Audio Visual Arts International Mostra) is a unique and innovative springboard for cutting edge experimental and new media audio-visual culture, that will take place in Madrid (Spain) from 12th to 18th December 2011, within the city Mile of Art. This year the main subject is Robotics and there will be daily screenings of mesmerizing video art masterpieces, exhibitions of advanced video installations, open discussions with video artists, lectures and round-table debates related to art, beauty and technology, audio-visual performances, workshops, think-thank forums and multiple awards, that will unleash on the city an epidemic of viral art which neither cinema nor television will be able to appease.
MADATAC is an independent international festival with an open approach, that places particular value on innovation, originality and risk-taking digital media art projects. Our aim is to serve as an open laboratory for artists were they can present to the public, critics, curators and other artists , their most recent creations, helping along the way to spotlight rising investigations works on this field that apply fresh technologies, as 3D art applications, awarding creative excellence of artists who best fuse in a single work technology and imagination and challenge conventional cinematic narratives, with the purpose to build bridges between worldwide artists and audio visual art organizations, overturned toward the most transforming audio-visual art.
Nuestra historia
MADATAC (Muestra Abierta de Arte Audiovisual Contemporáneo) es una plataforma innovadora para la cultura audiovisual de los nuevos medios experimentales, cuya III edición tendrá lugar en Madrid (España) del 12 al 18 de diciembre 2011, en la Milla de Arte de la ciudad. Este año su temática girará en torno a la Robótica, con sesiones diarias de videocreaciones, avanzadas videoinstalaciones, debates conferencias y mesas redondas en torno al arte, belleza y tecnología, performances audiovisuales, talleres, foros de pensamiento, que diseminarán por la ciudad una epidemia del arte vírico que ni el cine ni la televisión podrán mitigar.
MADATAC es un festival internacional independiente con una filosofía abierta, que pone especial énfasis en la innovación, la originalidad y el riesgo de proyectos audiovisuales enfocados hacia el arte de los nuevos medios. Su objetivo es servir de laboratorio para que los artistas puedan presentar al público, crítica, comisarios, coleccionistas así como a otros artistas sus más recientes creaciones. Con ello se pretende apoyar y descubrir trabajos de investigación en este campo que emplean las nuevas tecnologías, como el 3D aplicado al videoarte, reconociendo la excelencia creadora de aquellos artistas que fusionen, desde una perspectiva interdisciplinar, el mundo de la técnica con el de la imaginación, desafiando las narrativas cinemáticas convencionales, con el propósito de construir puentes planetarios entre artistas y organizaciones volcadas hacia el arte audiovisual más transformador.
